COVID-19 Fundraising Campaign 2020

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was a newly discovered virus and was found to be infectious through droplets from saliva when talking or coughing. This has then turned into a pandemic around the world and when Malaysia had an increasing number of positive cases, a Movement Control Order was implemented.

Immediately in March 2020, Little Yellow Flower Foundation decided to raise funds to purchase medical supplies like face masks, PPE suits, face shields, PPE boots and many more for the hospitals. Within 48 hours, we raised RM 130.809.09 exceeding our initial target and the funds kept increasing, amounting to RM 436,806.10 in April from the love of the public for our fellow countrymen.

During the Movement Control Order, there are restrictions such as not being able to go out for work and this has affected many families not being able to provide food on the table. Therefore, we decided to allocate some funds to start providing care packs for families in need as well.

Enquiries started pouring in and after checking on details of people in need, care packs were delivered within a day to two.
