Fire safety is one safety we tend to ignore and with many recent cases about fire, we have brought the children from Little Yellow Flower to one of the local fire stations to learn about fire safety and fire engine, what are the responsibilities of a fireman other than putting out fire and also have fun with the firemen.

When we first arrived, the firemen explained to us about firex safety and what should we do should there be fire. Some exercises were demonstrated and our children tried it out as well like Stop, Drop and Roll.
Then the children were introduced to how announcements are made and how the firemen prepare when there are emergency calls, explaining on all the equipment found in the fire engine and how it is used.

Last but not least, the children got to go up into the fire engine to have a feel of what is it like inside and getting splashed with water from the fire engine hoses.
