During the 2012 year end school holiday, Little Yellow Flower Education Foundation has arranged a trip to Cameron Highland for 20 children from the Nutritious Lunch and Tuition Program on 15-16 Dec 2012 allowing the children to have a chance to explore and learn new things through various activities.
The children were jumping up and down, squealing with excitement along the way and they were so fascinated with the mountain views from the edge of the winding road. The first stop was an organic farm, known as Terra Farm where the children were taken on a 4WD truck into the farm area. There was an interesting structure in the farm whereby one could find a completed and another in the process of building a mud house. The owner gave an educational talk on how to build a mud house without spending much money and how to turn a devoid and naked land into an organic farm. The children also had a chance to taste vegetable freshly pulled from the ground. A few of the boys and girls were so enthusiastic to help the owner out.

As the day was turning dark on the way to the guesthouse, a singing and sharing session in the bus was conducted to keep the children entertained. The children were introduced to the song “You Are My Sunshine” and once they learned it, they all sang out aloud happily. After singing, a sharing session was conducted where the topic was “What is your Happiest Moments” and each of the children had a chance to share with each other about their happiest moment in life!
Despite waking up early and moving all around the whole day, the children were still hyped and excited when they arrived the guesthouse especially when they found out that their rooms were at the attic, dormitory style equipped with a nice cooling air-condition.
The next day, a drawing session conducted after breakfast. They illustrated their happy moments and drew a thank you card for Sinje, showing their gratitude for bringing them for a holiday! Next stop was the Butterfly Garden and Bee Farm. They were so excited to see big beautiful butterflies, bees, scorpions and iguanas.

Just before heading back to Kuala Lumpur, the group stopped for lunch at a Chinese restaurant whereby two (2) of dishes which were vegetables, were sponsored by Terra Farm. The children gobbled everything up as they were famished after the garden sightings.
Despite the long and tiring journey, the children had one of the best times together and were very happy. It was one of the topics which were talked and discussed among themselves about for the next couple of days.
