English is an International language and taught in schools worldwide. A broader and better prospect is gained for a wider and probably an International working opportunity is provided should a child master this language. During the 2012 year-end school holiday, Little Yellow Flower has joined forces with English Champ, Bandar Utama center for 3 days; 3 hours intensive English school holiday learning programs for the children. A group of 20 children were divided into three groups according to their age and level which was led by three teachers. All teachers were teaching on a voluntary basis. Assessments and short texts were carried out by the teachers to understand the children better and then custom design a relevant program for them during the holiday program and also map out another program suitable for the near future.
The children adapted quickly with the nice learning environment where some of them gained their confidence after being exposed to the English speaking environment and even attempted to speak in English. Some of the children made an effort to attend the holiday program although they faced certain conditions on the second day. With these enthusiasm and the eagerness to learn portrayed by the children, the teachers too, are encouraged and want to help them more!

It is a big leap for these children to be able to venture into something new and as these children are now exposed and taught that English is very important for them in the future, they have put in a lot of effort in trying, change their mindset and transformed their fear into a strong energy to strive forward and study hard.
