Another fun activity happening in the Orang Asli Wonderland is group reading. Group reading is a way of teaching children in small groups. The idea of group reading in OA Wonderland is that the staff known as “kakak” will read the story in the middle of the group while the children follow the storyline.
This is to attract attention from the children to read books even if there are children who are not able to read. Usually, we will pick an interesting non-fiction story to read that does not have many pages with the children. So far, the children have done 3 books which are Awang Semambu Menangkap Harimau, Pak Pandir Menangkap Ikan and Pak Pandir dengan Kambing.
We hope to have some role playing in the next group reading activity.
