Learning to cook a new dish is always a good way to pass the time. During the June school holiday, Little Yellow Flower did a different activity and taught the children how to prepare and cook fried kuey teow noodle.

The center prepared the ingredients for the noodles such as carrot, kuey teow noodle, beansprouts, lime chilli, chicken, egg and sauces. An example of how ingredients are prepared is shown by the cook and then the children were hands on by preparing he ingredients themselves by cutting and washing it all. Then, proceeding to the next step which is frying the noodle. First shown by the cook and then the children themselves, whereby they were all guided by the adults around.

The cook is showing the children how the preparation is done. The kids start to prepare the ingredients by themselves. Adult is guided the small kid on cutting. The small kids are helping with the light work such as washing the vegetables. The children are happily learning to fry the kuey teow. The children are starting their hand on skill to fry the kuey teow. They are fully satisfied with the end result.
